Conservatories - Simply more economical than an extension
This custonmer required a utility room extension, covered patio area and conservatory to the rear of their bungalow.
Working closely to their specified design, Falon were able to offer them this 3-in-1 contemporary structure.
Left to right, the pictures show the site before works, a CAD drawing of the proposed structure and the finished article (prior to patio slabs being laid).
Creating a new window - removal of brick & block work
"We would like to say - first class. We would recommend you to anyone" Mr & Mrs Smith, Ipswich.
Removal of existing brick and bock work using a prop and 'Strongboy' to support wall in process. Brick work is cut 150mm wider than window width either side at top of aperture to acommodate lintel.
Concrete lintels installed to both exterior and interior walls. Window installed.
Finishing: Face of brick is cut and adhered to ends of exterior lintel to conceal ends of lintel. Interior reveals are plastered and a laminated MDF windowboard installed.
Please note: Planning permission is usually required - please check with your local planning autority.
Installating new windows & doors
"A joy from start to finish."
"Having had a number of quotations to replace the windows and doors in our home, I think we witnessed the very worst and the very best in local companies. Having had to escort one very pushy salesman from our door, it was a welcome relief when John arrived from Falcon to offer a quotation. Very polite, John is my kind of salesman, gives you all the information in such a way that you know he has no need to push his wares on you. The most painless quotation I've ever had."
The next step was a detailed site survey carried out by the boss, Eamonn, again it's easy to see that he's been in the business a long time - everything was second nature and every question I thought I had was already answered before I could speak. He knows his business and what's better he knows what concerns his customers may have."
"A date was set and the fitting crew promptly arrived - this will always be the measure of any trade, Bill and Scott a couple of excellent fitters, extremely tidy and took every care to minimise any damage to home and fittings. In fact on a couple of windows it would be hard to see that they'd been changed at all! Just keep 'em fuelled on teas and coffees and they keep going all day, ensuring that at the end of the every day, all is tidy. As we needed some brickwork to modify the porch, Bill number 2 was brought in - a very methodical and diligent worker, who proceeded to transform our porch into something that the wife and I are particularly pleased with. After a week the house was transformed, all the windows and doors were cleaned and all the finishing touches completed. Those who know me, know I'm not easily pleased and credit where credit is due, we made the right decision employing Falcon Windows. We have quality windows and doors, fitted and backed up by a quality local company, who have quality staff.
To all at Falcon, thanks and all the best for the future.

Installing a conservatory with a Guardian Warm Roof
Replacing 'everything' - fascia, soffit, bargeboards & guttering, plus all windows & doors
Customers Mr & Mrs Kane are "over the moon" with the installation - from their initial contact with Falcon to John's visit, our quotation and surveying, then finally the installation process from start to finish. They have told us how they are both really pleased with the finish of the products and how it has transformed their property and quality of life.
Leaded-light bay window installation
These white pvc-u flush casement-style windows with rosewood sills were installed to a detached property in Ipswich. With scaffolding right around the building, Falcon Windows were also able to replaced all fascia, soffits and new black cast-iron guttering which had to be ordered in especially.
But the prettiest part of the job by far was installing some coloured leaded light units to match the original windows - by carefully taking photos of each individual panel before they were removed, we were able to replicate the same designs in the new units.
